Our Story
Maÿaz began with something deeper than fashion.
Modesty and beauty were never meant to be at odds.
We started with a belief, not a business plan. We wanted women who cover to find pieces made for them, not adapted for them. This is how that belief became a collection.
Modesty and beauty were never meant to stand apart from one another.
My journey began with a wish to understand the Islamic guidelines of hijab and covering more deeply. Studying A Treatise on Hijab by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymin and The Dress Code of the Muslim Woman by Shaykh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani changed how I understood modest dress.
What I learned brought clarity, both about how I wanted to dress and about what I hoped to share with other Muslim women.
After much dua, many conversations with my family, and careful thought, the Collection began.
It started as a means of dawah: beneficial resources offered alongside garments that make it easier for Muslim women to cover in accordance with their faith.
Our first garment was the jilbab. From that foundation, Maÿaz has continued to grow.

At Maÿaz, modesty is not something we add to a garment after the fact. It is the standard by which we consider what belongs in the Collection. We look for pieces that provide coverage while still feeling beautiful, intentional and refined. We consider the silhouette, length, opacity, functionality and the way a garment moves on the woman wearing it. Some pieces are timeless foundations. Others bring a more modern point of view to modest outerwear and everyday dress. The aesthetic may evolve. The standard does not.

The reason behind the Collection.
Maÿaz began as a way to encourage Muslim women to cover with garments that support that commitment. Our faith is not a concept placed around the brand. It is the reason the brand exists.
Beauty without compromising purpose.
Everything we create and offer should have a reason for being there. In the Collection, that means pieces where refinement, quality, function, and coverage exist together. The same intention now guides everything else we do.
Covering that sets her apart.
Modesty does not ask a woman to disappear. There is dignity in being visibly distinct in what we wear, how we carry ourselves, and the standards we keep. The Collection exists for her.
